Free CV Bullet Point Rewriter: Fix Weak Bullets in 30 Seconds

By Personal Job Coach teamUpdated

A CV bullet point rewriter takes a line you've actually written, not a job title, and gives you back sharper, more specific versions of it. Ours does this for free, in about 30 seconds, with no account or card required.

Paste a bullet into the CV Bullet Point tool and you'll get three rewritten versions back, plus a flag for each of the two things that most often weaken a CV line: generic phrasing and missing quantification. These are the same two checks our ATS Score Checker runs against a full CV, applied here to a single line so you can fix it in isolation.

Why Do Quantified, Specific Bullets Beat Generic Ones?

"Managed a team" and "Responsible for improving sales" tell a recruiter almost nothing. They describe a category of responsibility, not what you actually did or the result of doing it. "Managed a team of 12 across two offices" or "Grew regional sales 18% in two quarters" gives a reader something to evaluate. The ATS Score Checker's quantified-results check looks specifically at whether your two or three most recent roles carry a real number: a percentage, a headcount, a budget, a timeframe, anything that turns a responsibility into an outcome. The banned-phrases check works the other way round, flagging filler like "team player," "results-driven," or "dynamique" that fills space without telling anyone anything specific about you. Both checks exist because the same handful of habits show up on CV after CV, and both are fixable line by line without touching the rest of the document.

How Does the CV Bullet Point Rewriter Work?

Paste one CV bullet, or up to ten at once, no upload and no account. Each one is rewritten into three versions that keep your underlying claim true: the tool never invents a number, a team size, or a result you didn't provide. If your original bullet had no number in it, the rewrite restructures the sentence so you can see exactly where a real figure would go, without making one up on your behalf. Copy whichever version fits best straight into your CV.

Is It a Generator or a Rewriter?

Several other free tools in this space generate a bullet from a job title alone, with no reference to what you actually did. That produces language that reads like every other AI-written CV, because it is: the same generic sentence for every "marketing manager" who types that title in. This tool starts from a real bullet you wrote, so the output stays grounded in your actual experience rather than a template. Once you've added a specific job to your tracker, tailoring the rewrite to that job's exact language is a natural next step, the same way Gap Analysis compares your CV against one posting's wording rather than a general standard.
