There's no job board. You find jobs wherever you already search: LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, company websites, or anywhere else. Paste the job description or URL into your tracker and the full toolkit activates for that role. The tools work for any job from any source.

A gap analysis compares your CV against a specific job description and tells you exactly where you fall short: missing hard skills, keyword gaps, and soft skill framing. Most candidates skip this step and wonder why they're not getting callbacks. It costs €4.99 as a one-time payment with no subscription, or it comes with the €19.99 monthly subscription.

They work in opposite directions. Import from LinkedIn brings your LinkedIn profile into Personal Job Coach so we can build your career strategy and CV from it. LinkedIn Optimisation goes the other way: it takes your career profile that already exists here and writes the copy you need to update your LinkedIn profile. You can use both, in either order.

Yes. Enable daily alerts from your profile page. When a job in your Job Radar scores above your threshold (90% by default), you get an email around noon with the matches worth looking at. You can change the threshold or turn it off at any time from your profile.

Personal Job Coach is €19.99 per month. Career Strategy, CV Score and the full toolkit for your first application are free to use, with no credit card required. Without a subscription, downloading your CV, base or tailored, is a €4.99 one-off. Downloading your CV, base or tailored, takes either the €4.99 one-off payment or the €19.99 monthly subscription, which also covers every application after the first. Cancel any time.

For €4.99, you get every CV template, every language version, and the ability to re-download after edits or a new Career Strategy session, for as long as your account exists. It covers your base CV and, if you've used your free job slot, the tailored CV file for that job too. Other job-specific tools, cover letter, gap analysis, and company briefing, still need a subscription.

No. It's a single payment, not a subscription, so there is nothing set up to renew and nothing to cancel. If you want the full toolkit for an active job search later, you can subscribe separately at any time.

If you're an EU or UK consumer, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from your subscription contract, no reason needed. Use the "Withdraw from contract" option in your Account settings within 14 days of subscribing for an immediate cancellation and a full refund. After that window, or once you've used it, you can still cancel any time from Settings, you'll just keep access until your current billing period ends rather than getting a refund for the remaining time.

Upload your CV as a PDF or Word document, or export your LinkedIn profile as a PDF and upload that. That profile becomes the foundation for all the tools. You only need to upload once. Every job you track runs off the same profile, though you can update it at any time.

Your CV and profile data is used only to generate your career tools. We don't share it with employers, recruiters, or third parties. You're not in any candidate database, and your data isn't used for anything beyond the service you've asked for.

The CV Builder takes your uploaded profile and produces a clean, professionally formatted, ATS-ready CV. Think of it as your master document. The Tailored CV then takes that master and rewrites it specifically for each job you apply to, reordering priorities, adjusting language, and matching keywords to the job description. You use the CV Builder once. The Tailored CV runs for every application.

Yes. The tools work across industries and job levels because they're built around the specific job description you paste in, not a fixed template for a particular field. Whether you're applying for a marketing role, an engineering position, or a senior leadership job, the analysis, CV, and cover letter are built for that role specifically.

Yes. You can re-upload your CV at any time from your profile. If you've had a promotion, completed a course, or want to target a different type of role, upload your updated CV and your Career Strategy will reflect the change.

It depends on the change. For minor updates (a new role, a course, a skill), re-uploading your CV is enough. Your Career Strategy will update automatically. For a bigger change in direction, such as switching industries or targeting a different level of seniority, running a full Career Strategy again will give you the most accurate results.

Yes, for English, French, Spanish and Catalan. Your tailored CV, cover letter, application email and LinkedIn note come out in the language of the job ad, not the language of your account: paste a French job description and you get a French cover letter and tailored CV, and if the next role is in English, those documents are in English. If the ad is in another language, we write them in your site language and tell you, and you can pick one of the four by hand. Your gap analysis and company briefing stay in your site language, which suits expats and multilingual professionals targeting more than one market at once.

You have two options. The quickest way is to paste the URL of the job ad: we extract the title, company, and full description automatically. If the URL doesn't work or you found the job offline, you can paste the job description manually instead. Either way, once the job is in your tracker, every tool activates for that role.

Yes. When you click Target a New Job, choose "Speculative application" instead of "Job ad." Enter the company name, the role or area you are targeting, and optionally the company website. Personal Job Coach will build a tailored cover letter, company briefing, and interview prep around that company, even without a formal listing. This is ideal when you know which company you want to work for but nothing is advertised.

General AI tools are useful for parts of a job search, especially brainstorming. What they cannot do is produce a structured, formatted CV as a downloadable PDF, score your CV against ATS systems, keep a persistent profile across multiple applications, or run a mock interview with company-specific context built from a gap analysis and company briefing. Personal Job Coach connects all of this into one workflow: one upload, every application prepared end to end. General AI tools require you to repaste your CV and the job description every time, and the output is raw text that still needs formatting and judgement to use.

Yes. Copy the job title and description from the Easy Apply listing into Personal Job Coach to run the full preparation workflow: gap analysis, tailored CV, cover letter, company briefing, and mock interview prep. LinkedIn Easy Apply lets you upload a custom PDF CV for every application, so you can attach the tailored CV directly in the Easy Apply window. Personal Job Coach handles the preparation; you apply on LinkedIn as usual.

The CV Score feature checks your CV against ATS parsing rules so you can fix formatting issues before you submit.

Yes. Go to your profile settings and set "How should we address you?" to He/Him or She/Her. This makes sure grammatical agreement is correct in languages like French and Spanish (for example, "directeur" versus "directrice"). Leave it on Auto and we'll infer it from your name and CV, but if that guess is wrong, setting it explicitly fixes it everywhere: CVs, cover letters, application emails, and LinkedIn notes.

Yes. Using Personal Job Coach has no impact on your Universal Credit claim. You are expected to meet your claimant commitment by demonstrating active job-seeking activity. Keeping a record of your applications, interviews, and search steps satisfies this requirement. Personal Job Coach helps you apply more effectively and keeps a log of your activity. Check your claimant commitment for the specific requirements set by your work coach, as these vary by circumstance.

The ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings publishes median salaries by occupation, sector, and region across the UK. The CIPD Labour Market Outlook provides pay award benchmarks by industry and is updated quarterly. For senior and professional roles, specialist recruitment firms publish annual salary guides that are often more granular. Personal Job Coach's Gap Analysis and Company Briefing give you the role-specific context you need to anchor a salary conversation with confidence.

Most UK employers set probation periods of three to six months, though the length, notice terms, and review process are set by the employment contract rather than statute. ACAS recommends that employers set clear objectives at the start of the probation period and provide regular feedback throughout. If you are negotiating an offer, the duration and conditions of probation are reasonable points to raise. There is no legal minimum or maximum probation length in the UK.
