Terms of Service
Last Updated: 14/07/2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Personal Job Coach website (the "Service") operated by Personal Job Coach ("us", "we", or "our").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Accounts
When you create an account, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account. The free job slot (one job with full toolkit access, no subscription required) is granted once per account and is non-resettable, including if the job is later deleted.
3. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding Content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Personal Job Coach and its licensors. Your account data and documents remain yours.
4. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses AI to generate CVs, cover letters, career advice, interview feedback, and other documents. All AI-generated outputs are provided for informational and advisory purposes only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any AI-generated content before use. Personal Job Coach makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any specific purpose.
5. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time via Settings. If we need to terminate or suspend your account (for example, due to a serious breach of these Terms), we will provide at least 30 days' prior notice where legally required, except in cases of fraud, serious misuse, or abuse of the Service. Upon termination, you have 30 days to export your data before it is deleted.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Personal Job Coach shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
7. Governing Law
For users based in the United Kingdom, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Your statutory rights as a UK consumer are not affected by these Terms.
8. One-Time Digital Purchases
In addition to the monthly subscription, we offer certain features as a one-time purchase, currently the base CV download (€4.99, VAT included where applicable). This is a single payment: no subscription is created, nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel. Once purchased, the base CV download becomes permanently available on your account, covering all templates, all language versions, and any CV you generate afterwards, including after a Career Strategy restart. This licence is personal and non-transferable: it is granted for the account holder's own CV. We reserve the right to restrict access in cases of manifest abuse, such as sharing one account across multiple identities or automated use. Because this is digital content delivered to you immediately upon payment, you expressly consent to immediate performance of the purchase and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once the download is available, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 for UK residents, and Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU for EU residents.
9. Right of Withdrawal (Subscription)
If you are a consumer resident in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your initial subscription contract within 14 days of subscribing, without giving any reason, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 for UK residents, and Article 9 of Directive 2011/83/EU as amended by Directive (EU) 2023/2673 for EU residents. You can exercise this right using the "Withdraw from contract" option in your Account settings, available for 14 days from the date you subscribed. If you withdraw within this period, your subscription is cancelled immediately and you receive a full refund. This right can be used once per subscription contract. After the 14-day period has passed, or once you have used this right, the ordinary cancellation terms in Section 5 apply instead: you may cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of your current billing period, with no refund for the remaining time. /contact
