Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Personal Job Coach uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. By clicking 'Accept' on our cookie banner, you consent to our use of analytics and advertising cookies as described below. Clicking 'Decline' means only strictly necessary cookies are used.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember information about your visit. We use three categories of cookies: strictly necessary cookies (essential for the site to function, no consent required), analytics cookies (used to understand how visitors use our site, requires your consent), and advertising cookies (used to measure our advertising and show relevant ads, requires your consent).
2. Cookies We Use
The following cookies and similar technologies are used on this site:
- sb-* (Supabase): Strictly necessary. Session cookies that keep you logged in to your account. Deleted when you close your browser or after a short inactivity period. No consent required.
- _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics): Analytics. Used to measure how visitors interact with our site (pages visited, session duration, general location). Duration: up to 2 years. Only set after you click Accept.
- _gid (Google Analytics): Analytics. Distinguishes users within a 24-hour period. Duration: 24 hours. Only set after you click Accept.
- cookie_consent (Local Storage): Stores your cookie preference (accepted or declined). Not a cookie, stored in your browser's local storage. Duration: until you clear your browser data or reset your preference.
- pjc_cv_score_token (Personal Job Coach): Analytics. A random, non-identifying token set if you use the CV Score tool. It lets us measure whether a CV Score visitor later creates an account. It contains no personal data and is not linked to the contents of your CV. Duration: 30 days.
- _gcl_au (Google Ads): Advertising. Used by the conversion linker to measure ad conversions. Duration: up to 90 days. Only set after you click Accept.
- _gcl_aw, _gac_* (Google Ads): Advertising. Store click information for conversion measurement and remarketing. Duration: up to 90 days. Only set after you click Accept.
- _clck (Microsoft Clarity): Analytics. Identifies a returning visitor so session replays and heatmaps can be linked across visits. Duration: up to 1 year. Only set after you click Accept.
- _clsk (Microsoft Clarity): Analytics. Groups the page views of a single visit into one session recording. Duration: 24 hours. Only set after you click Accept.
3. Advertising Cookies
We use Google Ads to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and, where you consent, to show you relevant ads. These cookies are only set after you click Accept on the cookie banner. They let us see whether a visit that started from one of our ads led to an account or subscription, and they support remarketing. If you click Decline, no advertising cookies are set. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the reset option below. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may set cookies or process data:
- Google Analytics: Analytics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Analytics are only activated with your consent.
- Supabase: Authentication and database. Session management cookies are strictly necessary and set regardless of cookie preference.
- Vercel: Hosting infrastructure. May set performance cookies as part of content delivery. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Google Ads: Advertising. Used to measure ad conversions and for remarketing. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Only activated with your consent.
- Microsoft Clarity: Analytics. Session replay and heatmaps that show us how visitors use the site so we can improve it. On-screen text is masked before any data leaves your browser, so the contents of your CV and other personal text are never captured. Subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement at privacy.microsoft.com. Only activated with your consent.
5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please note that blocking all cookies may affect how the site functions, for example, you may need to log in again on every visit. Browser guidance: Chrome (Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies), Firefox (Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies), Safari (Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data), Edge (Settings > Cookies and site permissions).
6. Contact
