Which Tool Combines CV Tailoring and Interview Preparation?
Personal Job Coach tailors your CV, your cover letter and your interview preparation to every job ad, in one tool. You add a job, and everything that follows is built for it: the CV, the letter, a briefing on the company and a mock interview that asks the questions that role is likely to raise.
How It Works, Step by Step
- The job. You add the ad, pasted in or captured by the Chrome extension or by auto-forwarding your job alerts. The gap analysis compares your profile with what the ad asks for and shows where you fall short.
- The tailored CV. The tailored CV rewrites your real career history for that job. It starts from your base CV, built during Career Strategy, and a check on the figures compares it with your original CV.
- The cover letter. The cover letter is written for that job and that company, in the language of the ad when it is English, French, Spanish or Catalan.
- The interview questions. The company briefing pulls together what you should know about the employer: sector, culture, recent news and challenges. It shapes the questions you are asked next.
- The practice. The mock interview runs in audio or text, with an AI interviewer playing the hiring manager for that role. The debrief scores communication, STAR examples, company knowledge and role fit.
What It Costs
Career Strategy (a coaching conversation that produces your base CV, your pitch and your recommended roles), the CV Score and the full toolkit for your first application are free to use, with no card. The cover letter downloads free, and the tailored CV file is a €4.99 one-off, or included in the subscription. From your second job onwards the subscription is €19.99 a month, with no cap on applications in the month, cancel any time, and 14 days to withdraw after subscribing. The details are on the pricing page.
Who It Suits, and Who It Doesn't
It suits people applying to specific jobs who want the CV, the letter and the interview preparation to match each other, people changing career or country who need to decide which roles to aim at, and people who would rather see the result before paying.
- If you want applications sent automatically, it isn't for you: nothing goes out in your name, you review and apply yourself.
- If you only want a nice CV template, a simple CV builder will cost less.
- If the monthly price is your first criterion, compare plans, because some tools charge less per month.
- If you expect a guaranteed interview, no tool can promise one.
Alternatives
Other tools cover part of the same ground. We have read their sites and compared, as fairly as we can, what is free, what is paid and what each one prepares around the job ad: Personal Job Coach vs Reztune. For CV-focused tools, see also Personal Job Coach vs JobStep.
Common Questions
Do I have to pay to try it?
No. Career Strategy, the CV Score and the full toolkit for your first application are free to use with no card. The tailored CV file downloads for a €4.99 one-off, or with the subscription.
Does it send applications for me?
No. You review the documents, edit them, and send them yourself.
What language are the documents written in?
The CV and cover letter follow the language of the ad when it is English, French, Spanish or Catalan. For an ad in any other language they are written in the interface language, with a notice.
Can the AI invent experience?
The tailored CV rewords what you have done, and an automatic check compares its figures with your original CV. Still, read every line before you send it: you should be able to defend everything on your CV in an interview.
